Nace O'Dowd Park Development

Phase 1 - Purchase of Land

On the 6th June 2014, the club became the owner of an extra 1.85 acres of land at their current location.

Phase 1 Work on fencing the extra ground and removing the ditch at the Sligo end of Nace O'Dowd Park began on 1st July 2014.

This will complete the first phase of our overall future development of our club ground.

The club applied for the Department of Sport Capital Programme back in January 2014. On the 3rd July 2014, it was announced that the club was successful in its application and it would be receiving a grant aid of €45,000 towards the future development of Nace O'Dowd Park.

On Sunday, 12th April 2015 the members of the club fully supported the sub development committee recommendation that Phase 2 of Nace O'Dowd Park will be the development of a brand new playing pitch.

On the 21st May 2015, Curran Contractors were ratified to carry out the development of the new playing surface at Nace O'Dowd Park. These works will begin in June 2015 with a completion date to be late Autumn 2016, early Spring 2017.

At this juncture, we would like to thank everyone that made this a reality. This is not the end of the project as we see it, with Phase 3 & 4 to be discussed and completed into the future.

Log back for more details as they become available. As always we will try to keep all members and supporters as up to date as possible on all future developments in this regard. If you have any queries or questions on the future Nace O'Dowd Park Development, the Club executive welcome all feedback.

Thank you,

Regards
