Back 03/02/2001 @ 00:00 | Fund Raising requirements for County Board

Each club in the county has to raise £2,500 for the county board and this money is due by mid February. Several fund raising methods were proposed including standing beside Liam Lawlors house in case he decides to burn some of his cash and a sudden gust of wind might blow it in the Mullinabreena direction or getting close to some high profile politician who has a high turnover of brown envelopes. Having sifted through the proposals on offer it was decided to go with IR£50 county board Lotto tickets. The tickets entitle the holders to entry for 26 fortnightly draws throughout the year. Any funds raised from ticket sales in excess of 50 will be retained by the club.

Tickets can be purchased from any of the club officers or alternatively send a crossed cheque/draft for £50 punts made payable to Mullinabreena/Coolaney GAA club  to Mullinabreena/Coolaney GAA Club, c/o 224 Charlemont, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9.
