Well done to our Junior B Team who defeated Coolera/Strandhill in Junior B Championship Semi Final and secured their place in the Junior B Final.

The game took place in lovely weather conditions in Scarden on Saturday evening. Coolaney/Mullinabreena dominated the first quarter with great points from all their forwards.

Coolera/Strandhill gained some momentum after the water break getting a goal and a point, Paul Connolly kept his side in a firm lead with a strong goal.  Daniel Davey added another two points from play before the half time whistle.

Second half Coolera/Strandhill tried to recover lost ground from half time, Coolaney/Mullinabreena kept their lead with great play from all of the team especially Paul Connolly, Brian Marren and Keith Kirrane.

In the dying minutes after a hard foul on Conor Feely, Kieran Doddy converted the awarded penalty to give a final score line of:

Coolaney/Mullinabreena will now meet St. Farans in the Final to hopefully bridge the gap of 32 years since winning a Junior Title.

Coolaney Mullinabreena won Junior Titles in 1910, 1957, 1968, 1984 and 1988.
