Junior B Championship Round 1
Our Junior Panel secured their first 2 points in the Championship table by defeating Owenmore Gaels in the opening round in Connolly Park.
Coolaney/Mullinabreena dominated the first half by an early goal set up by Brian Marren and finished by Matt Conlon. The team continued to add another 4 points and two goals from team Captain Alan Duggan and Sean Doyle to give a half time score of 3-04 to 0-4.
Owenmore Gaels continue to fight hard in the second half, never letting up. Coolaney/Mullinabreena continued to control the game in the second half with a combination of strong performances from both our mid fielders Paul Connolly and Brian Marren, forwards and the back line.
A number of subs were used in the last 30 minutes with add in's Jack Gormley scoring another 1-01 and Michael Barrett 0-01 from play.
