Well done to our Senior Squad who defeated a strong Eastern Harps side to remain in the Senior division.

It was a close match throughout, Coolaney/Mullinabreena maintained an edge throughout the game, it was overall team effort and their ability to score the goal that made the difference in the end.

 Eastern Harps got the opening point from a free , Gavin Gorman leveled us quickly with a good point from play.
Eastern Harps converted another free, we responded well with points from both Aidan Coleman and Gavin Gorman. Shane Gormley was replaced by S Gorman after 10 minutes due to injury. Just before first  half water break, Nathan Mullen passed to Shane O'Brien who scored a great goal giving a score at the water break of 1-04 to 0-02.
In the remaining first half Coolaney/Mullinabreena added another 4 points to the score board with points from Enda Kivelhan, Aidan Coleman, Gavin Gorman and Niall Connolly. Eastern Harps added three points from play.
Although Coolaney/Mullinabreena work rate was higher than Eastern Harps and they had a slight edge the battle for the win continued very strongly in the second half. 
Eastern Harps had the opening point of the second half with Coolaney/Mullinabreena not responding for the first ten minutes, finally Raymond Connolly put a good point over the bar. Both Stephen Connolly and Eastern Harps adding a point each to the score line before the water-break, leaving only the goal in. 
The last quarter was hard fought one with Eastern Harps pushing to draw. Coolaney/Mullinabreena responded well and with good defense and team play held them off to cross the line and secure their place as a Senior Team for 2021.
