U16 Team

Well done to our U16 team who defeated a strong Eastern Harps Team in the U16 B Shield Final

The game was very fast paced with Eastern Harps opening the game with a point, Coolaney/Mullinabreena responded well with a good point from Fionn McDermott in the 4th minute

Eastern Harps scored another two points before Oisin Gorman converted a free. Eastern Harps followed with a goal. Coolaney/Mullinabreena Danny Elfiki clipped over a point before the water break giving a score line of Coolaney/Mullinabreena 0-3 Eastern Harps 1-03

Coolaney/Mullinabreena came out of the water break more settled and Eoin Barrett started the last first half quarter with a good goal. Eastern Harps punched over a point directly after the goal. As we were awarded a free Oisin Gorman levelled the sides briefly. Eastern Harps kept our gaolie Shane Finan under pressure and he made two good saves. Eastern Harps pointed a free giving them a brief lead. Matthew Miley put his team two points ahead before half time whistle with a good goal.

Eastern Harps started the second half strongly with three points in a row and they seemed to win all the breaking balls. With that Coolaney/Mullinabreena sprung into action with two great goals in succession from Matthew Miley and two points from Shane Feely and Oisin Gorman. Our scoring continued with Shane Feely adding another point to the score board. Eastern Harps got over one point before the water break to give a score of 4-06 to 1-09. In the last quarter Eastern Harps fought back adding another 2 points to their overall score , all of Coolaney/Mullinabreena played well and Ciaran Gorman added their last point to give a final score line and well deserved win  Coolaney/Mullinabreena 4-08 1-11 Eastern Harps.

Junior B Team
Well done to our Junior B Team who drew with St. Farnan’s in the Junior B Final on Sunday.  It was a very intense affair form start to the finish with St. Farans controlling the first 20 minutes and chalking up an impressive lead.

Our team came back from 1-08 lead to secure a draw and get another opportunity to gain the title

Hard luck to our great U12 Team & coaches who were defeated by a strong Enniscrone/Kilglass side.

U14 Team
Hard Luck to our U14 team, who had a hard defeat against a very good Shamrock Gaels in the U14 semi final.

U8 Team 
U8 Team will play Tubbercurry in Cloonacool on Weds 30 Sept at 6.00. Please adhere to all Covid requirements for this match.
